Ingredients:
- 2 lbs of ground beef
- 4 large potatoes
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 1 cup of grated cheese
- 2 tbsp of butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and cut the potatoes into small chunks. Boil in a pot of salted water until tender, then drain and mash with butter, salt, and pepper.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is soft.
- Add in the beef broth and simmer for a few minutes until the liquid has reduced.
- Layer the ground beef mixture in a baking dish, then spread the mashed potatoes on top.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese over the mashed potatoes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the Hachis Parmentier cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
