Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 4 ounces of dark chocolate
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 6 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease four ramekins.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Stir in the powdered sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs and egg yolks one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the flour, salt, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the ramekins.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- Let the lava cakes cool for a few minutes before running a knife around the edges and inverting onto plates.
- Serve warm with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
