Mushroom Pasta with Maple Syrup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz pasta (any shape)
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil a pot of water and cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they start to soften, about 5 minutes.
  4. Drizzle maple syrup over the mushrooms and continue cooking until the mushrooms are caramelized, about 5 more minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the mushrooms and maple syrup.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
