Ingredients:
- 8 oz pasta (any shape)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
- Boil a pot of water and cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they start to soften, about 5 minutes.
- Drizzle maple syrup over the mushrooms and continue cooking until the mushrooms are caramelized, about 5 more minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the mushrooms and maple syrup.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
