Ingredients:
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 100g almond powder
- 100g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 100g butter (softened)
- A small ceramic charm or trinket (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the almond powder, sugar, eggs, and softened butter until you get a smooth cream.
- Place one sheet of puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the almond cream mixture onto the puff pastry, leaving a border of about 2cm around the edges.
- If desired, place the ceramic charm or trinket somewhere in the almond cream.
- Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top of the almond cream mixture and press the edges to seal.
- With a sharp knife, lightly score the top of the galette in a decorative pattern.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
- Let the galette cool slightly before serving.
