Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh basil
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 oz pasta of your choice
Instructions:
- Start by boiling water and cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a food processor, combine the basil, pine nuts, and garlic. Pulse until finely chopped.
- Add the parmesan cheese and pulse again.
- While pulsing, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the pesto reaches your desired consistency. You may need more or less oil depending on your preference.
- Season the pesto with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta with the pesto until well coated.
- Serve the pesto pasta warm or at room temperature, garnished with additional parmesan cheese if desired.
