Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Cut chicken into bite-size pieces and place in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne, black pepper, ginger, and salt.
  3. Pour yogurt mixture over chicken, making sure all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and grill chicken until fully cooked, about 10-12 minutes.
  5. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and jalapeno and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Stir in paprika and cumin, then add tomato sauce and cream. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Add grilled chicken to skillet and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Garnish with cilantro before serving.
