Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound pasta of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pesto: In a food processor, combine basil, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, and garlic cloves. Pulse until finely chopped.
  2. Add Olive Oil: While the food processor is running, slowly pour in the olive oil until the pesto is smooth and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  4. Combine: In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked pasta with the pesto until well coated.
  5. Serve: Serve the pesto pasta hot or cold, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves. Enjoy!
