Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 3 garlic cloves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pound pasta of your choice
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pesto: In a food processor, combine basil, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, and garlic cloves. Pulse until finely chopped.
- Add Olive Oil: While the food processor is running, slowly pour in the olive oil until the pesto is smooth and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Combine: In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked pasta with the pesto until well coated.
- Serve: Serve the pesto pasta hot or cold, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves. Enjoy!
