Vegetarian Tourtière Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of cooked lentils
  • 1 cup of chopped mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup of diced onions
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup of chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup of chopped celery
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sheet of pie dough

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Saute the vegetables:

In a large skillet, sauté the onions, garlic, carrots, and celery until they are soft. Add in the mushrooms and cook until they release their juices.

3. Add lentils and seasonings:

Add in the cooked lentils, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients and let it cook for a few more minutes.

4. Prepare the pie crust:

Place the pie dough into a pie dish, making sure it covers the bottom and sides of the dish. Fill the pie crust with the vegetable mixture.

5. Bake:

Bake the vegetarian tourtière in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is heated through.

6. Serve:
