Mushroom Casserole with Basil Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs of mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add mushrooms and cook until they release their juices.
  5. Stir in basil and season with salt and pepper.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Transfer mushroom mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  8. Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture on top.
  9. Pour vegetable broth over the casserole.
  10. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  12. Serve hot and enjoy!
