Mushroom Casserole with Basil Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs of mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of fresh basil, chopped
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup of vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add mushrooms and cook until they release their juices.
- Stir in basil and season with salt and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Transfer mushroom mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture on top.
- Pour vegetable broth over the casserole.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
