Chestnut Stuffing with Basil Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of day-old bread, cubed
- 1 cup chestnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add chestnuts and basil, cook for 2 minutes.
- Add bread cubes and vegetable broth, mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish, cover with foil.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
