Chestnut Stuffing with Basil Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of day-old bread, cubed
  • 1 cup chestnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add chestnuts and basil, cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add bread cubes and vegetable broth, mix well.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer mixture to a baking dish, cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
