Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced turkey

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and dried oregano.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the instant yeast with warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients and knead until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and knead in the diced turkey.
  6. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake the turkey bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Let it cool before slicing and serving.
