Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup diced turkey
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and dried oregano.
- In a small bowl, mix the instant yeast with warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients and knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and knead in the diced turkey.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the turkey bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let it cool before slicing and serving.
