Ingredients:
– 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– 1 tablespoon cornstarch
– 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, sage, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the apples evenly.
- Roll out one of the pie crusts and place it in a pie dish.
- Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust, spreading it out evenly.
- Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the apples. Crimp the edges to seal the pie.
- Make several slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.
- Bake the apple pie in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious Apple Pie with Sage!
