Apple Pie with Sage Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6-7 large baking apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 package pre-made pie crusts

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugars, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, lemon juice, and sage. Mix well to coat the apples evenly.
  3. Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. Fill the crust with the apple mixture.
  4. Top the pie with the second pie crust. Seal the edges and make a few slits on top for venting.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
