Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a shallow dish, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken breasts and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and place in a baking dish.

Step 3: Add Marinara Sauce

Pour marinara sauce over the chicken breasts. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.

Step 4: Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 5: Serve

Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve the Chicken Parmesan hot with a side of pasta or salad.
