Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 10-12 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Place the sliced mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
  5. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
  7. Drizzle olive oil over the top and season with salt and pepper.
