Ingredients
- 3 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker and pour in the chicken broth.
- Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
- Discard any excess fat from the pork.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and add the BBQ sauce and brown sugar.
- Stir to combine and let cook for an additional hour on low.
- Toast the hamburger buns and place a generous amount of the BBQ pulled pork on each bun.
- Serve hot with your favorite coleslaw or pickles on the side.
