BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  2. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker and pour in the chicken broth.
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  4. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
  5. Discard any excess fat from the pork.
  6. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and add the BBQ sauce and brown sugar.
  7. Stir to combine and let cook for an additional hour on low.
  8. Toast the hamburger buns and place a generous amount of the BBQ pulled pork on each bun.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite coleslaw or pickles on the side.
