Ingredients:
- 2 lbs of ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 2 tbsp of tomato paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 4 tbsp of butter
- 1/2 cup of grated cheese (Gruyere or Parmesan)
Instructions:

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the onion, garlic, carrots, and celery and cook for another 5 minutes.

Stir in the beef broth, tomato paste, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, boil the potatoes in a pot of water until tender. Drain and mash with milk and butter until smooth.

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

In a baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly on the bottom. Top with the mashed potatoes and sprinkle the grated cheese on top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
