Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
