Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Step 2: Add sliced beef sirloin and cook until browned. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
  3. Step 3: In the same skillet, add chopped onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until onions are translucent.
  4. Step 4: Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir to combine.
  5. Step 5: Gradually stir in beef broth, making sure to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Step 6: Return beef to skillet and simmer for 10 minutes, or until beef is cooked through.
  7. Step 7: Stir in sour cream and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Step 8: Serve beef stroganoff over cooked egg noodles or rice, and garnish with parsley if desired.
