Beef Stroganoff Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Step 2: Add sliced beef sirloin and cook until browned. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
- Step 3: In the same skillet, add chopped onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until onions are translucent.
- Step 4: Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir to combine.
- Step 5: Gradually stir in beef broth, making sure to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Step 6: Return beef to skillet and simmer for 10 minutes, or until beef is cooked through.
- Step 7: Stir in sour cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Step 8: Serve beef stroganoff over cooked egg noodles or rice, and garnish with parsley if desired.
