Chicken Parmesan Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried basil.
  3. In another dish, beat the egg.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in the beaten egg, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to coat evenly.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  7. Transfer chicken to a baking dish and top each breast with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and chopped basil.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve hot with pasta or salad.
