Ingredients:
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pie crust
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned.
- Add the cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
- Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a pie dish with the pie crust.
- Pour the beef mixture into the pie crust.
- Place another pie crust on top and crimp the edges to seal.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Let the tourtière cool for a few minutes before serving.
