Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions:
- Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add wet ingredients: Stir in the melted butter and milk until a dough forms.
- Knead dough: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth.
- Shape dough: Roll out the dough into a flat round shape, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cook: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bread for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Serve: Cut the bannock bread into wedges and serve warm with butter or jam.
