Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, sauté onion, carrot, and celery until softened.
- Add shredded turkey and peas to the skillet, stir to combine.
- Sprinkle flour over the turkey mixture, stir to coat.
- Pour in chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add nutmeg, salt, and pepper, adjust seasoning to taste.
- Transfer turkey mixture to a baking dish.
- Roll out puff pastry and place on top of the turkey mixture, trimming any excess.
- Brush pastry with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
