Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sheet of store-bought pie crust
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and garlic and cook until the onion is soft.
  3. Stir in the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  6. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and pour the beef mixture into the crust.
  7. Drizzle the maple syrup over the beef mixture.
  8. Top with another sheet of pie crust and crimp the edges to seal.
  9. Make a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  11. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
