Ingredients:
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet of store-bought pie crust
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and garlic and cook until the onion is soft.
- Stir in the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Place the pie crust in a pie dish and pour the beef mixture into the crust.
- Drizzle the maple syrup over the beef mixture.
- Top with another sheet of pie crust and crimp the edges to seal.
- Make a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
